Buck Roofing Answers Common Roofing FAQ
What type of roofing services does Buck Roofing provide?
Buck Roofing provides all types of residential roofing and commercial roofing services throughout the Kansas City, Lawrence, and Manhattan, Kansas areas. These roofing services include complete roof replacements, new construction roof installation, and roof repairs. Additionally, we install gutters and siding.
What are some signs that I may need a new roof?
There are several signs that could indicate the need for a new roof. The signs include missing, cracked, or curling shingles, wind or hail damage, rusted or missing flashing, evidence of leaks or stains on interior walls or ceilings, unexplained mold inside your house, or ceramic granules in your gutter. Additionally, if your residential roof is more than 15 years old, we recommend scheduling a complimentary roof inspection.
If I have a leak in my roof does that mean I need a new roof?
No, not necessarily. While a leak in your roof might indicate that your current roof is failing and needs replacement, this isn’t always the case. In some instances, it may be possible to fix a roof leak with a simple roof leak repair or by replacing only a segment of your roof. If you have a leak in your roof, call us and one of our technicians will come out and perform a roof inspection to determine if you need a new roof or just a repair.
What can cause my roof to leak?
How long will it take to install my new roof?
The roofing installation duration depends on the size of your roof and how many layers need to be removed. However, we are typically able to complete a new roof replacement in 1-3 days.
Are all roofs supposed to be maintenance free?
We have had a few storms lately, but is it necessary to have a roof inspection when we don’t see any damage or have any leaks?
What do I do if Buck Roofing finds damage on my roof?
Should I go with the lowest estimate to save the insurance company money?
Do I have to pay Buck Roofing for insurance claims assistance?
What if my Buck Roofing repair or replacement estimate is higher than what my insurance allowance is?
While this is rare, it does happen from time and time. Typically, our estimate should be the same as the insurance adjusters, but it may also be higher when we find items that the insurance didn’t notice or initially approve. When this happens, Buck Roofing will work with you and your insurance to get things squared away.
Please Note:
It is illegal for a homeowner to profit from an insurance claim, and it is illegal for contractors in Missouri to offer to pay a homeowner’s insurance deductibles on a claim. If a contractor tells you otherwise, they may be committing insurance fraud.
Contact Buck Roofing today and we’ll help you understand the insurance claim process in detail before you call your insurance company.
